You see what needs to change.

But seeing the problem isn't always enough to change it.

As a clinician, you see problems other people miss:

  • A patient waits months to see the right specialist.

  • A care pathway creates unnecessary risk.

  • A small change in how you assess patients could catch something important earlier.

  • A tool your team uses every day could work much better for the people actually delivering care.

You see the problem. You may even have a pretty good idea of how to fix it.

But "this would be better for patients" isn't enough to get a new idea approved, funded, or adopted.

Because every improvement in healthcare has consequences.

It can change how clinicians spend their time.

How many services are billed.

Whether a hospital grows or shrinks margin.

Whether an employer's total healthcare spend goes up or down.

Whether a healthcare company keeps or loses customers.

And the people deciding whether to move your idea forward need to understand those consequences.

That's the language clinicians need to speak, fluently.

In Leading Change in Healthcare, you'll learn how to look at a clinical problem from both sides: what needs to improve for patients and why solving it makes commercial sense for the organizations responsible for making it happen.

You'll apply it to a real problem you actually care about.

You'll leave with a clear statement of the problem, your first draft of a business case, and an action plan to move it forward.

Healthcare innovation starts with seeing the problem.

Leading change means making the case for why it's worth solving.

WHAT WE'LL COVER

Here's what we'll cover:

1. The Innovation Landscape

See where meaningful healthcare change actually happens, from everyday clinical practice to virtual care models, digital products, and startup companies.

2. The Iron Triangle

Learn why a change that's clearly better for patients can still struggle to get support, and what decision-makers need to see before they'll move it forward.

3. The Cost Equation

Spot the hidden cost of the status quo, from unnecessary care and higher costs later to clinician time, turnover, lost productivity, and lost revenue.

4. Real Case Studies

See real healthcare examples where solving a clinical problem also created a compelling reason for an organization to act. And learn the real reasons why great healthcare ideas can still fail.

5. Hands-On Practice

Apply the framework to a problem you care about and leave with a sharper problem statement, your first hypotheses about what's driving it and what it may be costing, and what you need to investigate next.

Bring a healthcare problem you care about.

This isn't an hour of theory.

During the live training, you'll work through guided exercises to unpack a real problem you've seen in healthcare.

  • You don't need to have the solution.

  • You don't need a pitch deck, business plan, or company.

  • Just bring something you think could be better. We'll work on it together.

We'll help you start figuring the problem, what it costs, and how to pitch a compelling case for change.

This training is for you if...

You're a woman clinician who sees something in healthcare that could be better, and you want to do something about it.

Leading change in healthcare isn't about your role or your title:

  • You might be working inside a hospital, health system, academic center, private practice, or healthcare startup.

  • You might be considering building something of your own.

  • You might already be leading change. Or, you might be wondering how to get started.

  • There's have a problem you can't stop thinking, about and you're trying to figure out where to begin.

  • You don't want to waste any more time pushing for innovations that don't get traction.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Nope! We'll provide all workshop materials. Come with an idea about a problem you want to solve in healthcare, and we'll help you work through it.

Is this only for clinicians who are working in digital health or startups?

No, this is for women clinicians and scientists who see something in healthcare that could be better, and want to do something about it.

You might have a specific idea already. You might simply keep noticing a problem that nobody seems to be fixing.

You could be working in academic medicine, a health system, a healthcare company, or considering building a product, initiative, or company of your own.

You don't need to already be a leader, founder, or “healthcare innovator.” This workshop is where you start building your innovation muscles.

Is this only for women?

No — anyone is welcome to attend. This workshop is open to people of all genders. The curriculum is intentionally designed around the lived experiences of women clinicians and scientist, especially those navigating innovation and leadership in environments where clinical expertise is often undervalued. If that resonates with you, you'll be in the right place.
